Current research: I am leading the LUXCITZEN project, which takes a discursive approach to exploring policies on language, migration and citizenship in Luxembourg, a small state that is home to nearly 50% resident foreigners. An additional project, MULTILUX, deals with language ideologies in Luxembourg, focusing on disjunctures between language policy at the level of the state and everyday multilingual practices.
